Lord of the Flies
Ch. #10
Perspective: Ralph
No biguns?
Where have they gone surely they haven’t all left have they I was puzzled by the thought. Then piggy asked about Simon as if he didn’t know he was dead. It was murder and we all took part in it whether we meant to or not. I tried to tell piggy but he refused too come clean he acted quite theologically, the whole thing was barmy and Simon shouldn’t have done the he was asking for it. I tried to admit the terrible deed I had committed but I guess “we weren’t even there.” after we sort of talked about it I felt purged I liked the feeling it felt good to confess what I had done wrong. The only one besides piggy and I were SamnEric I think don’t know where they’ve ran off to. Then they came out of the forest with a big rotting log, at least someone stayed. The sun had almost set and the fire was dim it would be quite hard to keep it going all night, piggy suggested illuminatingly that we start the fire every morning. That night we laid in the shelter and talked for a bit then we heard a whisper calling “PIGGY” we shook in terror “we want you piggy” we went to see who it was and it was Jack and his gang we did them one for but I don’t know what they were after but it wasn’t fire this time.
