Book review

This book was about an Irish family that wanted to come to America and was faced with the hardships of the new world to them they left their world. When Rose makes a decision to stay while her mother goes home, and she sent off with her little sister Maureen to see if she can fit in or become an American.

I would not recommend this book because; I did not find this book interesting what so ever. It was boring and the plot was a little wishy-washy to much drama. It was just tragedy after tragedy and no break it’s like the family was doomed no matter what they do. The whole story was plain and there was only one semi-exciting part. I would only recommend this book if you have a total book worm personality and you’ve read every book known to man except this one.

The book wasn’t a complete heap I am sure some one in the world would find it interesting. I think that if you like family tragedy books you could enjoy this one. I found it hard to enjoy because the subject and over all writing didn’t catch my interest it was to bland nothing more that ordinary. There was one part I found pretty appealing I liked the fire in the building, it was so suspenseful kept you hungry for more. One other thing I found that was interesting was when they came to America and had their eyes opened with a button hook it made my

This was a book that you need an acquired taste in books. This shows the reader that you might not enjoy it but also it could reel you in. I thought the “HOOK” wasn’t very good and didn’t set one things for sure this fish did not bite. They need to change their bate because the one their using isn’t very appealing.

Finally all I have to say is that I don’t recommend this book and I didn’t enjoy it. In fact I would rather read a dictionary front to back and memorize it. Then have to read this book ever again. If you like it good for you I for one do not. Overall this book had it’s moments that kept me on my toes at all times I waited to see what would happen next some parts however did get a little dry and uninteresting.
