Fahrenheit 451
This book was about a Fireman named Guy Montag in a sort of a futuristic time setting were in this case the firemen start the fires. Guy’s job is simple a little kerosene here and there then one match and poof. In this time period reading is illegal and no one is sure why, so Guy is supposed to burn them. One day Guy picks up a book and reads it knowing what he’s been missing he decides to take a stand, but we don’t know if others would take too kindly to this act can Guy make a change.
I would recommend this book because; I thought that this book was eye opening suspenseful dramatic and had a good moral to it. The only thing I would have to say I didn’t like was that at some points you had to re-read in order to understand what had happened. Overall this book had good characters I did think they could have given Guy a better name.
The book was very enjoyable it had its parts where it either didn’t make sense or it got a bit dry. I liked that it tells you to not be blind to the limitless possibilities around you like how something like reading can change the world. I liked how guy stood up against all odds and saw the error of their ways. I feel that Guy discovered how great life was and sort of wondered why it had all vanished and why cant we get it back.
This was a book that you might consider reading if you like that day after tomorrow sort of books. This will keep you on your toes with a lot of questions you’re dying to have answered. I think this would be a book for a two week vacation or rainy day or even if you’re a person who just likes to read for fun that’s cool to (I just wouldn’t do it.)
